Fermilab buffalo herd adds 5 new calves

A suburban animal attraction is growing by leaps and bounds.

The Fermilab buffalo herd in Batavia has added five new calves in the last five weeks. There are now 25 buffalo in the herd, which was established at the lab back in 1969.

The public can view the herd. Summer viewing hours are from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m. daily. Admission is free.
