3D movies make some people sick, study says

July 6, 2012

Researchers discovered viewers ages 24 to 34 were more likely to experience blurred vision and motion sickness than any other age group during a 3D movie.

The symptoms are related to a mismatch between focusing and converging the eyes. The symptoms are only temporary, but doctors recommend not sitting too close to the screen.

The study was published in the July issue of Optometry and Vision Science.
