According to police, the mother double parked the vehicle in order to knock on a friend's door. When she turned around, the van had disappeared- with her three-year-old inside.
Neighbors dialed 911, and responding officers found the vehicle and child two blocks away.
The toddler was not hurt.
Police have made no arrests.
