The Second Congressional District Republican primary race was still too close to call as of 10:15 p.m.

As of 10:13 p.m. frontrunner Paul McKinley was leading with 947 votes. Eric Wallace was close behind with 925 votes.

Paul McKinley told ABC7 News Tuesday evening that he believes he will win the primary.

"Well I'm quite confident that I'm going to win," he said. "There's no doubt in my mind that I've already won and my whole election was based on those who've been thrown into the garbage can of society and who've, whose issues have never been brought to the forefront."
