Babies born today could live to 100

October 2, 2009 They say not only will future generations live longer, those extra years will likely be spent with less disability and limitations than in the past.

Over the course of the 20th century, life expectancy in wealthier nations has increased by as much as 30 years.

If the trend continues on the same path, researchers in Denmark say babies born today will have a 50 percent chance of making it to their 100th birthday.
