Cook County Circuit Court's chief judge Timothy Evans re-elected

The Cook County Circuit Court's chief judge has been re-elected for the fifth time.

Judge Timothy Evans has been the chief judge of Cook County since 2001.

He was overwhelmingly re-elected by the majority of the judges on the Cook County Circuit Court.

Evans has been a judge for more than 20 years.

Before joining the bench, he was a Chicago alderman and ran for mayor of Chicago.
